I started RAM Superior Firearm Solutions in late 2008. I had been tinkering with my saiga AK clone and although I loved the rifle's strengths, its weaknesses were somewhat annoying. With my engineering background, I began analyzing the main features that I wished were better. Of course, I looked to the aftermarket for products that met my requirements but many of the things I wanted were not available.

I decided to design and build my own products. As I have studied the AK product market, I have been consistently amazed by the depth of the AK on-line community. This community consists of enthusiasts with a wide range of capabilities from expert machinists to novices who readily admit they can barely use a screwdriver. Therefore to best satisfy this vibrant and varied community my main goals in this venture are:
